Abstract

|
Adenomyomatosis is a benign hyperplastic condition of the epithelial cell and muscular elements of the gall bladder. It was classified three type, such as localized (=adenoma), segmental and diffuse type. It is probable a degenerative condition. and the incidence is increasing with advancing age. This illness is not very rare transformed into malignancy and there may be often associated with gall bladder stone. Its major lesion site is fundus but it is very rare in gall bladder neck. We experienced a case of local type adenomyomatosis (adenomyoma) of gall bladder neck having abdominal pain, and made a review of literature.
